WRESTLING.IE is paying honour to all the past greats of the fight-game.
Every week we will be adding legends of Irish descent from around the
world.
To celebrate the eighty year anniversary of the biggest wrestling
encounter,
to have ever taken place on Irish soil. When on August 26th, 1938 in
Dublin,
Danno O'Mahoney and Steve Casey went ninety minutes to a time-limit
draw,
infront of a sell-out crowd at the old Shamrock Stadium for the World
Championship!
The epic encounter was coined 'the Battle of the Irish Whip versus the
Killarney Flip'.
WRESTLING.IE are proud to present the first two inductees into the
Fighting Irish -
Hall of Fame: Cork's Danno O'Mahoney and Kerry's Steve 'Crusher' Casey.
The link to the Hall of Fame is at the bottom of our website,
